Cleaning & Cares

Product Cleaning & Cares

The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use. Consider to clean it frequently if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water.

Cleaning 

  1. Fill the bladder with warm water and add a cleaning tablet. Seal it up the bladder and shake it. Leave it for hours.
    * Another option is use baking soda or the juice of a lemon, which breaks down any residue and washes out easier than soap.
  2. Lift up the reservoir and pinch open the bite valve until half of the water flowing out of it.
  3. Open the top-flip closure and scrub the interior side of the bladder with soft brush or scrubber.
  4. Remove the hose connector and scrub inside it with a suitable brush. The bite valve also can remove and do some cleaning inside it.
  5. Thoroughly rinse all the cleaning solution used with warm water.
  6. Then drain the system. Place your reservoir on its hanger, or set it upright to dry.
    *It needs some time to thoroughly dry. Putting it away with even a small amount of moisture inside will invite bacteria to grow.

 

Cares

  1. Avoid using boiling water.
  2. Keep it in a cool, dry place when in storage.
  3. For the best advice, put it in a freezer. The cold temperature can avoid bacteria growth.
  4. Always lubricate the hose connector o-ring with glycerin.
  5. Avoid filling the reservoir above the maximum fill line.
